I have been searching the internet for weeks, came across this place in Sosua. Have been e-mailing, but they have not been answering my questions. Has anyone stayed there? I am going as a single for one week and then my mother is coming down for the next week. looking for a quiet relaxing place, But near to town when i want to go walking, my questions are... On the ocean side is the water rougher than the gulf side? Will I be able to swim/snorkle right off the beach?
How far is town/grocery shopping within Walking Distance? Since I am from the U.S. when i buy food at the grocery store could it make me sick? (My mother had problems in Mexico) Is Villa Brigette Beach Resort as beautiful as the pictures show? Has anyone been there?
Any information would be greatly appreciated!! I am planning on using Frequent Flyer Miles, so the quicker I get help, the quicker I book before my flights are gone, THANK YOU G

Don't know the villas you mentioned, but if they don't answer your questions then you have to ask why not?

The sea isn't usually rough anywhere around Sosua - not usually a problem. Snorkelling in the bay is good as there is a small reef.

Food from the grocery store doesn't usually make you sick here, and there is a supermarket in town. Wash fresh fruit & veg before eating. Lots of Americans, Canadians & Europeans live here, and they have to eat.

They do e-mail me, maybe i was misunderstood. but it seems like they only answere half my questions not all of them. i guess i will have to call her. I was hoping at least you would know where this place was. A beautiful lady named Florence Struckman manages the place. Ring a bell yet??? How far is the walk to town from that address? Wonder if i half to take a taxi. When do people usually start getting busy on this forum??? Probally around vacation time for us cold northeners I bet, Again thank you for your help. Any websites you can give me so I may check out this area would be great.\
